A day out to Zandvoort Beach
Zandvoort is a popular wide wide-spanning sandy beach only 40 min by train from the capital Amsterdam. Zandvoort Beach is a true hotspot on sunny days in
summer and major traffic jams occur in the whole area. You can walk for hours on the beach, relax in the sun, swim in the North Sea (always cold), take a
walk through the old village where will find shops and restaurants, enjoy a great meal or exotic drink in one of the many beach lounges situated right on the
beach with a clear view of the sea.
From July to September at many beach lounges club nights with a DJ can be enjoyed during the weekends. In colder times Zandvoort is also a beloved place
for the Dutch to enjoy a long beach walk in the fresh air, to take the dog out walking, or relax with an afternoon tea in the winter sun behind a windscreen on
the terrace of the beach lounges. A must-do is to try the delicious fried fish, a Dutch favorite is “Kibbeling”, which is sold at numerous places. The Zandvoort
old characteristic train station is situated at 10 min walking distance from the beach. Many visitors and road signs will be there to direct you.
