Giethoorn the Dutch "Venice"
Giethoorn rural village is located in Northwest of Holland, in the northern province Overijssel and is surrounded by a green lush National Park Weerribben-
Wieden. The rural is also called the Dutch Venice, this nickname came from the many small canals that function like a walkway between scenic thatched
and wooden farmhouses connected by many characteristic bridges. The village centre is not accessible by car and became known as the Village without
roads.

The most ideal and scenic way to discover Giethoorn is from a boat. During your visit you will use a small electric motor boat to explore the many canals
through the village and the surrounding nature reserve. The surrounding nature park also offers great biking and walking routes for a day out in a typical Dutch
landscape and scenery.
