Visit Haarlem
Haarlem is only 15 minutes by train from the capital Amsterdam, and has a beautiful old city centre with a good ambiance, narrow shopping streets, lots of
terraces outside in summer and plenty of historical monuments to see including the Frans Hals Museum and Teylers Museum.
The Spaarne River connected to many small channels with old picturesque bridges flows through the city. Haarlem even has some old windmills. Haarlem is a
great place to spend a day exploring on your own. Every Thursday night is shopping night till 21:00 and also on Sundays many shops will be open from 12:00
till 18:00. The characteristic old central station is situated in the heart of the city centre. Even without a map it would be hard to get lost.
